If you’re a landlord of a property to rent in North West London or a tenant living in one of our professionally managed properties - having a reliable, friendly manager makes a tenancy so much more of a pleasure and that’s why we strive to employ the very best staff.
Here at London Residential we are celebrating the second year work anniversary of our property manager Shenequa Moore, who has been a consistent and diligent member of our lettings team for the past 24 months. Shenequa provides the peace-of-mind that tenants and landlords in London are looking for.
After two years of working at London Residential, she knows her clients and the properties she manages inside out. Additionally, Shenequa gives continuity to all those who call on her services - rather than clients speaking to a different person each time they make contact. To mark Shenequa’s second year work anniversary with North West London lettings agents London Residential, we get to know Shenequa and her role here a little better.
Q. What attracted you to property management?
A. I have always been interested in property and felt that working in a lively environment with a busy schedule would be the best way to further my knowledge of the industry. I also knew that working in property management would allow me to build solid working relationships, as I would be dealing with the same landlords and tenants on a regular basis, which is very satisfying.
Q. What attracted you to London Residential?
A. I love the busy atmosphere and down-to-earth staff members. The office is unlike any other I’ve seen and I enjoy the professionalism and structure of the organisation.
Q. What are the best aspects of the job?
A. I love liaising with landlords and tenants the most. Interestingly, I really enjoy carrying out property inspections as this gives me a chance to become more familiar with the properties I manage and to actually meet the tenants in person after communicating with them mainly by email.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. Developing my career in property management but in a more senior role managing a team.
Q. What has been the funniest professional moment in the last 12 months?
A. That has to be getting locked inside a property, which felt haunted at the time and having to get one of my colleagues to come down and open the door for me.
Q. What is your most rewarding management moment and the story behind it?
A. Over the Christmas period we received a report from a tenant to say their fridge had stopped working, so all their meat bought for the holiday period risked going off. Given the time of year, I knew it would be difficult to send a contractor out so we gave the tenants our small fridge to use until we were able to arrange for an engineer to visit. In a way, I guess we helped save their Christmas.
