Steven Govier, Managing director
My quote: “If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not you’ll find an excuse.”
What is your current role? My role, as founder and CEO of London Residential, is creating and delivering on the vision of London Residential. My wish is to create a working environment that will allow the people we employ to flourish within the business. It is important that everyone at London Residential contributes to the vision and enjoys the benefits of a successful company. My expertise is in off-market development opportunities, should you wish to discuss buying or selling please do get in touch.
Background: I started off working on a fruit and veg stall at the age of 13 my families business. I then started to study for my NVQ Level 1 in Personal Training. Whilst I was studying for this course I caught my first “big” break as a 17-year-old which was to become a lifeguard at Oasis Sports Centre in Covent Garden.
My career as the UK’s answer to David Hasselhoff (Baywatch TV series) was short-lived and it was when I turned 19 I was offered the chance to work in a small letting agency in a serviced office block in N1. I loved the business so much that within a year I formed London Residential with fellow director and best friend Kirk Thompson. I never looked back! I love that every week in estate agency is a fresh challenge - people and property are what my business is all about.
These are a few of my favourite things: One of my most satisfying achievements is watching others around me become successful. My lifestyle is fast-paced and fun. It revolves around my family and work. My health and fitness are the basis of my happiness, commitment, routine and discipline. I am someone who commits himself to everything and love challenges.
